Thermoelectric Peltier Cooler
A thermoelectric cooler makes use of the Peliter effect to either heat or cool, depending on the direction of the current supplied. The cooler achieves this by creating a heat flux between the junction of the two different materials, thereby transferring heat from one side to the other. The results in one side of the device getting hot, and the other cold.
For the device to work effectively, the hot side should be used in conjunction with a heatsink to dissipate the heat generated. A Peltier device can also be used to generate electrical power by applying a temperature differential.
